Today (November 10) the Venerable Lodro Nyima Rinpoche led the tulkus, khenpos, monastics, and lay devotees of Thrangu Monastery to perform the fourth day of the Minling Vajrasattva puja before the holy relics of Kyabje Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche at the main shrine hall of Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, Namo Buddha.
At 4.30pm, the Venerable Choje Lama led the members of the Parinirvana Puja Committee to make offerings of body, speech, and mind to the Venerable Lodro Nyima Rinpoche, and made prayers for his long life and activities to flourish. As requested by the Committee, Lodro Nyima Rinpoche gave a teaching to the entire Thrangu Sangha. He mentioned that the Venerable Kyabje Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche worked tirelessly for the benefit of the teachings and sentient beings, building monasteries and helping the dharma flourish. To preserve them, all the khenpos, lamas, and tulkus must arouse an altruistic intention and honor one’s responsibilities. It is of particular importance to conduct listening, studying, and contemplation on the empowerments, oral transmissions, and teachings of the Mar Ngok tantras, and for the entire Thrangu Sangha to be united and harmonious.
Lodro Nyima Rinpoche made supplications for the Venerable Choje Lama, appointed as the representative of Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, to preserve and uphold the activities of Kyabje Rinpoche, and presented him the Gampopa hat and monastic robes for auspiciousness. To pray for his long life, he was also given a statue of Amitayus. Likewise, the Venerable Tulku Damcho was also presented with a set of monastic robes and a statue of Amitayus.
