Tulku Damchö Rinpoche desired to visit Thrangu Rinpoche’s study groups in the greater Los Angeles area knowing that neither he nor Thrangu Rinpoche had returned to be with the groups in quite a few years. (This was Damchö Rinpoche’s first visit since 2013.) They both had felt some regret that the connection was not fresh and Tulku Damchö was wondering how people were doing, whether they were meeting or not, and how they were feeling, especially in light of the experiences of the pandemic and also with the passing of Thrangu Rinpoche. What questions might they have and how to remain connected? He did not want to do any big public teachings but to be able to sit informally with students and discuss feelings and any questions anyone might have.
Along the way a visit to the newly reopened Los Angeles Shambhala Center was added to include a public teaching along with a brief visit to the RAMA Institute.
Later, a visit to KDK in San Francisco was added after Lama Lodru requested teachings and an empowerment.
His visit has inspired everyone and deepened devotion and connection all around.
