Lama Wangchuk Topden was born on 20th of November, 1983 (Lunar calendar: 15th of the 10th month) in Kathmandu; to his late father, Kunga Dhundup, and mother, Phurbu Dolma.
In 1987, he started his basic education at The Very Venerable 9th Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche’s school (Shree Mangal Dvip School for Himalayan Children (SMD) located in Boudha, Kathmandu.
