The Annual Namo Buddha Seminar Nepal 2025
Will be held at Thrangu Tashi Yangste Monastery, Namo Buddha
Date: April 7-13, 2025
Free Registration, No Live Streaming.
This will be a proper retreat with two teachings a day, meditation and chanting, and a review of the teachings with the translators.
The Teaching in the morning is “The Torch of True Meaning” by Jamgon Kongrul Lodro Thaye
Taught by Ven. Choje Lama Wangchuk In English with Chinese translation
The Teaching in the afternoon is “Seven Points of Mind Training” by Chekawa Yeshe Dorje
Taught by Ven. Tulku Damcho Rinpoche with translation in English and Chinese
Teaching Review will be in English and Chinese
Meditation instructions will be available in both languages
There will be short pilgrimage after the seminar to Panauti, an ancient temple complex and Yarinag (Temal), a Guru Rinpoche pilgrimage site.

All accommodations include meals. Accommodations will be two in each room unless occupancy allows some single rooms.

這將是一個正式的閉關。每天有兩次教學、禪修和唱誦,以及與翻譯人員一起復習教學內容。
上午的主要教學內容為蔣貢康楚羅卓泰耶所著的《了義炬》,由尊貴的 確戒喇嘛旺秋以英語授課,並提供中文翻譯。
下午將由尊貴的唐確祖古仁波切教授恰卡瓦耶謝多傑的《修心七要》,並提供翻譯。
教學複習將以英語和中文進行
禪修指導提供中英兩種語言
研討會結束後將安排短期朝聖,前往帕納蒂(Panauti)古寺廟群和亞里納(Yarinag/Temal)的蓮師聖地。
住宿安排:
所有住宿包含餐點。每間房間將安排兩人入住。若入住率允許,則可提供少許單人房。

TRAVEL TO NAMO BUDDHA
Namo Buddha is located in the hills outside the Kathmandu Valley approximately 2 hours from Kathmandu City by road. If you are staying in the Boudha area or in Kathmandu central your
the hotel can arrange a taxi to drop you there. If you are going directly to Namo Buddha a taxi
can be arranged at the airport at the Prepaid Taxi booths in Arrivals.
Taxi from Boudha or Kathmandu – Approximately 3,000 – 3,500 Rupees
Taxi from the Airport – Approximately 3,500 – 4,000 Rupees
It is advisable to change money to rupees at the airport in Arrivals.
A phone SIM card is available in Arrivals that will give you a phone number and WIFI data.
CONDITONS AND AMENTIES
Weather
Usually it is warm in the day and cold at night and in the morning. It’s advisable to have clothes you
can layer.
There’s no laundry service so be prepared to wash your own clothing.
Amenities
A canteen with cooked food, basic amenities such as clothes, washing soap, tissues etc. as well as chocolate bars, drinks etc. As well WIFI data can be purchased.
A coffee shop is on top of the canteen with espresso coffee and teas, biscuits and other drinks.
A small hospital with monks trained in medicine and acupuncture.
MEALS
The meals are vegetarian with dairy and some eggs. They should be suitable for all including those
who are lactose intolerant as they are mostly rice with lentils and bean plus vegetables. If you are wheat intolerant
It may be more difficult, so bring some food items you can eat like rye crackers.
Phone Use
Phone will need to be switched off during teachings and meditations. Other times you may use your phone or computer but only as needed.
Make certain to bring the medicines you need.
