Lama Wangchuk Topden was born in 1982 in Kathmandu; to his late father, Yangki Khamba, and mother, Phurbu Dolma.
In 1987, he started his basic education at The Very Venerable 9th Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche’s school (Shree Mangal Dvip School for Himalayan Children (SMD) located in Boudha, Kathmandu.
