Kopan monastics performs Thirteen Deity Vajrabhairava at Namo Buddha

On July 9, following the instructions of His Holiness the Gyalwang Karmapa, the monastics of Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery began the weeklong practice of “Pema Vajra” at Namo Buddha for the sixth week of Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche’s Parinirvana Puja.

The Parinirvana Puja committee invited monastics from the Gelug tradition to perform the “Thirteen Deity Vajrabhairava” puja at Namo Buddha today. Headed by the monks of Kopan monastery, 80 monastics arrived early in the morning and performed the puja in the Tara shrine hall at Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery for the entire day.
