The Kyabgon Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche Arrives to preside over the consecration of the reliquary stupa and the unveiling of the collected works of Thrangu Rinpoche.

Today (June 9) as per the fervent requests of Thrangu Monastery, the crown jewel of the Kagyu teachings, The Kyabgon Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche came to Thrangu Monastery at Namo Buddha to preside over the consecration ceremony of the reliquary stupa and the unveiling of the collected works of the Very Venerable Kyabje Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche.

The Kyabgon Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche landed safely at the Nepal airport today, where he was warmly received by representatives, khenpos and lamas of Kagyu monasteries, along with Choje Lama Wangchuk representing Thrangu Monastery and many devotees.

When Rinpoche arrived at Thrangu Monastery at Namo Buddha, the Very Venerable Zuri Rinpoche, the Very Venerable Lodro Nyima Rinpoche, the Very Venerable Tulku Damcho Rinpoche, Chakzola, and all the monastery’s khenpos, lamas, monastics, and lay devotees offered a grand welcome. RInpoche and his retinue headed to his residence, where they were offered tea and auspicious rice porridge.

Similarly, in the reliquary stupa shrine hall, the tulkus and khenpos performed the Chakrasamvara practice as part of the consecration puja. In accordance with the profound guidance from His Holiness the Gyalwang Karmapa, the great assembly at the main shrine hall is performing the Mahakala Bumtsok, accumulating a hundred thousand offerings for the swift return of the unmistaken reincarnation of Kyabje Thrangu Rinpoche. In addition, monastics are also performing the Tara Bumtsok at the Tara shrine hall.
