Historic and deeply meaningful occasion is taking place today at Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery.
Choje Lama Rinpoche has begun bestowing the oral transmission (lung) of The Collected Works of Thrangu Rinpoche, a precious collection spanning 32 volumes. Before his passing into parinirvana, His Eminence Thrangu Rinpoche personally bestowed this complete oral transmission upon only a select group of monks at his residence. Among those fortunate recipients was Choje Lama Rinpoche.
Today, in an extraordinary act of generosity and continuity of the lineage, Choje Lama Rinpoche is transmitting this precious blessing and lineage to nearly all the monks and nuns of the Thrangu monastic community, as well as a small number of Sangha members from outside the monastery.
This is more than a transmission of words—it is the living continuation of His Eminence Thrangu Rinpoche’s wisdom, blessings, and teachings for future generations. May this auspicious event strengthen the Dharma lineage and bring immeasurable benefit to all beings.
