Recently, Chöje Lama Wangchuk Topden Rinpoche, together with Tulku Damcho Rinpoche and a gathering of revered spiritual teachers and members of Thrangu Monastery, had the precious opportunity to pay their respects and offer prayers before His Holiness the Gyalwang Karmapa, the embodiment of the enlightened activity of all Buddhas of the three times.

On this auspicious occasion, heartfelt prayers were offered requesting the swift recognition and enthronement of the reincarnation of the late Kyabje Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, whose compassionate wisdom and vast benefit to beings continue to inspire countless disciples around the world.

His Holiness also recalled that, in accordance with the profound aspirations of the late Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, he had previously bestowed blessings upon Chöje Lama Wangchuk Topden Rinpoche and formally recognized and enthroned him at the sacred Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery at Namo Buddha.

Since the parinirvana of the venerable master in 2023, Lama Wangchuk Topden Rinpoche has faithfully carried the responsibility of preserving and guiding Thrangu Rinpoche’s monasteries, Dharma centers, and activities throughout the world, in accordance with his teacher’s wishes.

In 2026, His Holiness the Gyalwang Karmapa expressed his appreciation and praise for Lama Wangchuk Topden Rinpoche’s devoted service to the Dharma and sentient beings. As a symbol of auspicious interdependence for the flourishing of the Buddha Dharma and the welfare of all beings, His Holiness graciously bestowed a ceremonial Gampopa hat traditionally offered by great lineage holders of the Karma Kagyu tradition.

May the enlightened aspirations of the lineage masters be swiftly fulfilled, and may the light of the Dharma continue to shine for the benefit of all sentient beings.
