At the sacred site of Namo Buddha Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, retreat master Drupon Khen Rinpoche Karma Lhabu has compassionately accepted to lead the first seven-day retreat at the Shedra, following requests from the teachers and students of Thrangu Vajra Vidya Institute.
Recognizing that rather than focusing solely on study and contemplation, it is essential to turn the mind inward and seek the view through meditation practice, the teachers, students, and sangha members at Namo Buddha Thrangu Monastery have gathered together to begin this seven-day retreat, which is being held from July 25 to 31.
The daily schedule runs from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM and includes two sessions of dharma teachings based on Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye’s “The Nectar of Heart Advice,” four sessions of shamatha meditation practice, and Chod practice in the evenings.
