The 15th Annual Thrangu Tsedrup Puja was completed successfully on November 26, 2021. The week-long puja started on November 20 at Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, Namo Buddha.
The great Amitayus Sadhana for the long life of His Holiness Karmapa, the Very Venerable 9th Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche and all sentient beings was officiated by Ven. Tulku Damchoe Rinpoche, Ven. Choje Lama Wangchuk Tobden, and all of more than 500 of Thrangu Monastery’s sangha of monks and nuns.
This year’s Thrangu Tsedrup puja was sponsored by Thrangu Lhasam Tsokpa USA, an organization of former monks and nuns of Thrangu monasteries who live in the US. Ten representatives of the organization came all the way from the US to attend.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, precautionary measures were carried out throughout the week. Therefore Rinpoche wasn’t able to attend the puja in the shrine hall in person but all the offerings of mandala, body, mind and speech were made at his residence in the presence of Rinpoche.
