Under the guidance of our root guru the Very Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, Choje Lama Wangchuk Topden appointed Venerable Tulku Damcho Rinpoche as the Department Head and Khenpo Chogyal as the Deputy Department Head of the nunnery, Thrangu Tara Abbey, Swayambhu.

Meanwhile, current department head, Khenpo Chonyi Rangdrol has been appointed as the Department Head of Thrangu Tashi Yangtse monastery, Namo Buddha. Khenpo has served the nunnery for more than 11 years.

Current Department Head of Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, Lama Khamsum Tsewang, is appointed as the new resident lama of Thrangu Dharma Retreat Centre, Ipoh, Malaysia.

The appointment ceremony was held in the main shrine hall of Thrangu Tashi Yangtse monastery, Namo Buddha, where all the shedra and school monks, lamas, khenpos and administrative staff were present.
